The person that knows the most about McKean County Cemeteries if Judith
Shick of Bradford. Her husband is Jimmy Schick. Also, Larry Richmond of
Bradford. They are both associated with the Bradford Landmark society.
I can't find their addresses or phone # right now. But, if you live in
Bradford or near, you may be able to find them. Judy Shick is the person
who put together the big cemetery books.
On the Wagner Cemetery:
It is a small family cemetery on W. Washington St., Bradford and the
records of who is buried there are in the Cemetery Book. However, Leroy
(Biff) Layton who lives next to the cemetery is the caretaker and can help
people locate graves.
The Wagner cemetery has T.L.V. Wagner (Thomas Lambert VanAlstyne Wagner) ,
his wife and descendants buried in it. It is on land that was once part of
TLV's farm.
TLV Wagner and is sister, Catherine Wagner Cranmer (m. Dyer Cranmer) came
with their families to Bradford from Dansville Twp. Steuben Co. NY in the
1830's. If someone wants a look-up for that cemetery and the Cemetery Books
are not available, I have a copy of the records and would be glad to help them.
