You are exactly correct!! This is my g-grandfather Warner Dana. According
to what I know, his parents died when he was small and he and siblings
were dispatched to various relatives. I do have a record that his parents
ran a hotel. also, the family tells the story about the 'inheritance'.
After his marriage, he did eventually move to Erie, which is where most
of his 10 kids also settled. (My grandmother was their eldest, Kate Dana
Arneman.)

Do have any other info to share with me on the ancestors? Because of the
family "tiff", we never traveled or corresponded with that branch of the
family, which I think is a shame. - Kathy
