A bit more found on this GRANT Family; POSSIBLY from the CORNING , Steuben co NY area,

BOTH THESE MEN DIED OF RELATED WAR INJURIES IN BRADFORD PA
Lansing L and Charles L GRANT enlisted in the Civil War from Corning,
Steuben CO NY;
Lansing L. and brother Charles L. enlisted FIRST in the 107 N. Y. Infantry
at CORNING, Steuben Co NY

This unit was mustered out this last date they then BOTH joined the 60th at

Grant children;(He is probably William CHARLES)
their 3 were
GRACE GRANT b September 16, 1889 m Abraham HERRINGTON they ae buried at
Forestville Chautauqua CO NY
HELEN GRANT b September 16, 1891 married CHARLES KENNETH STEIN in Bradford
PA they are buried at WILLOWDALE Cemetery, McKEan Co PA
CHARLES GRANT b May 30, 1895 married to MARGARET STRAIGHT they are buried at
Bradford PA no children
Children of May MOSS GRANT GRANT marriage to SAMUEL Ulysses GRANT;
GEORGE GRANT b Bradford March 02, 1898 married to Marian CRICKS both died
Baton Rouge LA
SAMUEL ULYSSES GRANT JR, b 1900 died at Jamestown PA 1938 (NOT NY) as a
result of WWI Wounds, married to ELLA Unknown 9 or 10 kids
one named Samuel Ulysses GRANT killed in WWII
JOHN GRANT b ca 1902 married to Frances BATESKI she is living now age over
90
RUTH GRANT, b 1905 married Lewis ROUNDS, Bradford, he died 1928 in the oil
fields Bradford PA she married 2nd to MERLE L HARDY of Bradford, both buried

ELIZA GRANT b November 27, 1907Bradford PA married Harry GRANGER both
buried Cottage NY

Who was CHARLES L. GRANT? b ca 1839 in NY possibly Corning, Steuben Co Area
BROTHER to Lansing L.GRANT,
Charles and Lansing served in the exact same military units Civil War,
enlisted first at CORNING NY the unit was mustered and they joined the St
Lawrence unit,
BOTH went to McKean Co PA town of Bradford,
Charles married to HELEN C. b about 1846
their children all born PA;
Mark, Willard, Eugene and Harry GRANT;

Charles L GRANT was pensioned as an invalid, April 21 1881 and his wife was
a widow by October 5, 1887
also listed on the pension file is a minor, David ROOK all in PA;
son
HARRY is found in the 1910 Pa census for Bradford, McKean Co with wife M.
LUELLA ? and children, Violet Maud and Charles GRANT

In the 1880 census I found one LANSING GRANT born ABOUT 1821 CT, , married
to ELMA, he born ca 1821
they were in NEBRASKA
with them there was a son BURT and daughter ALICE married to POTTER
Elma was quite a lot younger and would not be the mother of these but he
possibly the FATHER?
