HI Folks,
I'm hoping someone will recognize some of these names and be able to help sort out this situation.
Arthur Moses b. New Hudson, NY son of Lafayette Moses and Mary Lafferty married Anna Ogden daughter of Isaac Ogden, born prob some where around Dubois, PA.
Arthur died in Chino, CA and is buried in New York.
His obit shows one child, a daughter Bina Sprague. Bina is said to have been a resident of Rochester, NY when her father died. Obit of Bina Sprague, gives her maiden name as Owens.( she was born 1899, PA) The 1900 census index shows a Bina Owens, 1 year, living in Bradford as a child of Rena Owens, 20 housekeeper, and married.
HOWEVER< obit also gives surviving parent name as Hattie Reynolds of Rochester.
I"m sort of confused as to what happened here. Was she illegitimate; child of early marriage and divorce or adopted to the Moses family? Bina is NOT a common name, and I"m hoping someone will do a birth record look see, or perhaps recognize something about this family.
Bina married Leon Sprague, had two children, a boy and a girl. Daughter's name is also Bina ( Rosemary middle name) and son is Leon.
ANY info will be greatly appreciated.
