An excellent resource for any information on the Mercer County School System is Mae Beringer. Information about her is at:

the one room school house page. She is a treasure of knowledge about schools and teachers. The Caldwell one room school house museum is well worth a visit, if just to talk to her, not to mention the files with class pictures and school souveniers with lists of the students.

If someone was born on a farm near MIllbrook, Wolf Creek Township, Mercer
County, Pa. in June of 1908, where would they have gone to school? How would
they have traveled to school?

Would there be any information on the school or perhaps pictures of it.
