If you missed Edward A. Scriven's piece on the new LDS Test
Site, 7 Apr 1999, you should check the archives. He is to be
congratulated for clarifying the genealogy efforts of the LDS
Church for us. I have used LDS Family History Centers numerous
times in a couple of states and cities and they are the most
useful single resource available to us as amateur
genealogists. WE SHOULD APPLAUD THE LDS EFFORT in general and
specifically their generous free public offering on the Web of
some of their most useful resources, especially for beginning
genealogists. My hope is that they will continue to make
additional resources available on my own personal computer
screen. Thanks again to Edward Scriven!
