I am looking for more information on Stewart Patterson, born abt 1822 in PA and who died after 1860. His name could be John Stewart PATTERSON and Stewart could be spelled Stuart. I found him age 28 in the 1850 census of Lawrence Co PA with his mother Martha age 65 and Stuart's sons George 5 and John 4 months. I know Lawrence County was partly formed from Mercer County in 1849 and believe his marriage record may be there. I further believe that his brother was a Burton PATTERSON found in 1850 Lawrence County and later in 1860 Lawrence and then his wife Delilia and children are found in Mercer County PA in 1870.
I believe that Stewart's son John is my direct ancestor and need more information to prove it. Any help you can give I would appreciate.
