Montgomery Co-New Hanover Township
Super, Philip, grandfather of Philip, came from Germany to America at an
early date. In 1788 he purchased 400 acres of land in Columbia Co. His
children, were Hannah, w/o __ Ristine, Mary, w/o Ludwig Knoll, Sarah,
w/o __ Block, Joseph, Philip, and Jacob. The last of this numbers, born
in 1774, was probably a native of Phila, where his death occured. He
learned the trade of cabinet-maker, which he conducted in Phila until
his death, when his wife succeeded to the business. He marred Jane
Brooks of Delaware County. Children; William, John, Sarah, Mary Anne,
w/o Lewis W. Hampton, Hannah, Philip, Jane, w/o Charles Famous, Ann and
one who died in infancy.

In 1835 he moved to Pennsburg in Upper Haover..

Squire Super married 3 Dec 1837 to Catharine, d/o Henry Dotts, whose
only child, William Henry, died in infancy. Member of the Lutheran
Church.
