Robeson, Peter, subject, of Stroudsburg, aka Uncle Peter, he was born
July 22, 1828 and is of Scot ancestry in the paternal line. His
grandfather, Robeson,was a native of Phila, married a d/o John Paul.
Later he moved to Oxford, NJ. His wife made her home in Stroudsburg and
died in Phila. They had one son, Morris D.

Morris D. was born Jan 3, 1804, died March 30, 1856. He married Nov 24,
1825 to Emily Hollinshead, born Nov 24 1805, died March 20, 1840.
Children; William C. Stroudsburg, born 1826, died 1833, Peter H. suject,
Edwin D., 1830, died 1831, James W. born 1834 died 1838, Joseph M. born
1835, died 1865

Peter Robeson married Martha Dreher, born Aug 27, died Feb 8, 1891.

On the maternal side Mr. Robeson is a descendant of Jacob Stroud, the
founder of Stroudsburg, and through that worthy pioneer, from Sir
William Stroud.
