Herbine,Faust,Runyon, Shultz, Yeager, Hileman,Henniger,Eyer, Mannon, Demott,
Kline ( To name a few) Lived both in Columbia and Mountour so am posting to
both sides so forgive the double post.

The Herbine ( Herbein's ) came from Berks via Roaring Springs and settled
first in Bloomsburg then in Berwick. Albert who was in the Civil war and
collected a pension and married Loretta Yeager was a chair maker. His son
William I. opened Herbine's Bakery in Berwick and handed it down to his son
Albert Frederick known as Fred who was in WWI and founded the VFW being it's
first commandant. William married Ida Hileman who is a descendant of Ludwig
Eye of Bloomsburg fame and Albert married Mary Faust who is descended from
the Shultz and Runyons.

A real pickle is Albert C Herbein who is the other son of Civil war Albert.
He never married and all we know is he ran a hotel and apparently lived with
his housekeeper a Irish immigrant named Cora Shephard ( from census records)
he was never spoken of until my grand father his nephew inherited land when
he died and my Aunt vaguely remembers this as she was a child. It is also
noted in a history of Berwick that he was known as quite the bicyclist of
his time. He was born in Feb 1870 and that is all we know. I hope to stomp
through grave yards this fall but from FL it is hard.

Anthony Faust was a Revolutionary war vet and the Foust family donated the
land for the Odd fellows Cemetery in Danville. My Faust grandmother was one
of 8 children and had a photo album with pictures of her family including
Faust's and Shultz's all unidentified and I am looking for cousins to try
and ID the pictures. ( just recently found a cousin who ID Peter and Mary
Shultz so this was a gold mine for me) Need to fill in a lot of blanks on
the Shultz side and a lot of blanks on wives of branches of my family. Also
burial sites are always needed so if cousins know of any please send along.

I have found Find a grave so helpful.

I also more than any thing else in the world would love to know what
happened to the other children of Peter and Katarina Herbein ( Albert's
parents) I know Rolandus was in the war and married Lucy Fetterman and was a
township auditor and judge of elections and in the house of rep. but do not
know if he had children, and I know David married Agnes Yeager in the same
church that Albert married Loretta Yeager ( but do not know if they are
sisters), Mary married a George Stricker, but what happened to Sara T.,
Peter, and Susan R. and did any of them have children.

These are my walls. Any help most welcome. I am going up to Bloomsburg Oct
5th for the 200th celebration!! Sue
