Hello. This is my first time posting to the Northumberland group (I'm
including Montour because my connection to Northumberland goes through
Montour, so I figure some others are in the same boat). I recently found
that I have GASKINS relatives who lived in Montour/Northumberland, so I've
been trying to do some research there. I have recently rented the following
microfilm from the LDS library:

Northumberland County, PA, Register of Wills, Index A-L, 1792-1930 (FHL Film
961,020)

I'll have access to it for the next couple weeks. If anyone would like me
to search for a surname (beginning with A-L), I would be happy to do it.
Please include first names and dates if you have them. Even if you give me
first names and dates, I WILL give you all people with that surname if there
is a reasonable amount. But giving me specific information will allow me to
help you even if there turns out to be 100 people with the surname you're
looking for.

This is ONLY an index and only decedents will be in the index and, of
course, only decedents whose last names begin with A-L. To get the actual
wills, you'll have to contact the county or rent the film from FHL --
unless, of course, I'm lucky enough to find the people I'm looking for and
you're lucky enough that yours are on the same film.....
