Richard

Anne and Walter are living in the same house as a William Miller, age
22. Anne is unemployed and Walter is coal miner. It appears that
everyone, including William and his family, came from Barnsley. The
1880 census does not show immigration dates. I checked the 1900 census,
but could not fine Anne. Walter, however, is living in Monongahela as a
coal miner. He says he emigrated from England in 1880 and is a
naturalized citizen. You should now check with the Greensburg
Courthouse and see if he was naturalized there. That will provide some
additional information on exact date of arrival in the US.

Hope this helps.

Bill
