Subject: Renner name variations

Hi all,
I'm sending this to the Bucks co, Northampton co, and PA list.
I have been researching my family for some time so I kind of know the
basic information about researching all name variations and such, which
brings me to my query.
I am researching the Renners of Bucks and Northampton co before 1800. I
have a proved trace to my Renner ancestor of John Henry Renner, d. 1817
who married Lavina Fritchman, daughter of Adam Fritchman. I'm fairly
sure John Henry's father was John Henrich Renner, b.1784. All are buried
in the Salem cementary in Moore Twp., Northampton co.
I believe these Renners are descended from to Valentine Renner of Bucks
co. as they were all born in Pa per census records. Myself, along with
other researchers on the Renner surname list, are tracing Valentine's
descendants, so I am interested in all Renners in Bucks and Northampton
from 1732, when Valentine immigrated to Phil. (He came to Bucks several
years later), until the early 1800's.
What I need to know is the genealogy of the BENNER family, if any, in
this area during that time period. I feel some of the missing
descendants of Valentine are listed as Benner, given the handwriting of
the time period. Other possible Renner variations are Rener, Ryner,
Wenner, Penner, etc. Are there other positively identified families that
are NOT Renner in either county during THIS time so I can elimiate them
from my research? Also, is there anyone with information about the
established RENN, Reinhart, Rennert, etc. of this area, not necessarily
these counties, that has run into this problem?
Discussion greatly appreciated!!
Sadly, not much is written about this original Renner. He is likely the
ancestor or brother of most of the Renners in America before 1800.
Except for a mention in the three volumn History of Bucks co, he is
mostly ignored, at least from my research. Any additional information is
greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you,
Robin Renner
