Hello Rooters,

The following URL is a genealogy magazine titled "The Family
Chronicle: The Magazine for Families Researching Their Roots." There is
a very good article titled "In the VERY Beginning." It was written by
Halvor Moorshead, editor of "The Family Chronicle." It is a
step-by-step guide for beginners. He talks about interviewing your
family, LDS records, compiled records (census information. etc.),
drawing up a family tree, starting out with five good habits, the
high-tech aspect - computers, genealogy programs and the internet and
family legends. My apologies to Mr. Moorshead for speaking so briefly
about his excellent advice.

There is a link to 24,000 participants of the Klondike Gold Rush.
And a link to review of some of the best of 10,000 genealogy websites
written by Jeff Chapman. These aren't the usual links you see
everywhere. Be sure to check them out.
