As some of you know there is a very active Silvius project in progress.
There are many of the Silvius/Silfies line still residing in
Northampton/Lehigh Counties and anyone interested should check out our
site .
It is the belief that William Silvius came with his brothers to PA.
The only ship's listing is for Johann Heinrich Silvius. William
Silvius' Will was proved 26 Dec., 1800 in Rockhill Twp, Bucks County.
It appears as if William was married twice and his second wife was
Catharine Heffelfinger. William's grandson John, (14 Dec, 1777-16 June,
1859) moved to Northampton County and married 16 June, 1805 Maria
Althouse. Both are buried in Emmanuel Union Cemetery. I am researching
the possibility of a first wife. If anyone has any information it would
be appreciated.
Also researching the following names in Northampton;
William Biechy married Elizabeth Smock circa 1845
Magdeline Person who married Samuel Siflies 1833
Althouse, Beyer
Joan, Lakeland Florida
