A number of people have asked where I found the microfilms of the Orphans
Court records for Northampton County plus what the film numbers are.
Therefore, I am sending the information to all:

The LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City has many films for
Northampton County which can be rented through local Family History
Centers. Orphans Court microfilms begin in 1752 when the county was
formed. The first film number is 0946985 which covers OC Docket Books
A-E, 1752-1795. Films for following years continue in sequence from the
first film--0946986 covers 1795-1815; 0946987 begins in 1815, etc. There
might be an index volume as well. The FHL Catalog will help you there.

I have extracted all the names from the first film--just published by
Closson Press in Apollo, PA--and am finishing up the second film (should
be published next year). I'd be happy to check on a few names for a few
fellow Northampton researchers. (Of course, I don't want to get buried
with requests. If I get inundated, I'll send out an SOS. Please don't
send a long list of names--just one or two really special ones.)

Still no answer on my original request. If anyone can get those missing
pages for me from volume 8 (p. 563-566), it would certainly be helpful in
completing my project.
Candace
