Geoff,
I think I should have said.. the info. on Julianna & Casper I
sent you came from a file with out documentation on it. Not that it isn't
documented, I just can't verify where it orginally came from.
I'd still double check it though. I'm connected to the person more than one
way and is a stickler for haveing primary sources for everything. I can't
verify it with info. my grandmother gave me since she didn't do any off
shoots into cousins when she first started doing genealogy. She only did
direct lines and nothing more.

Geoff,
I have some info. on this line. I'm not sure of how accurate it
is, because it was given to me and not documented. According to the line,
Nicholas Best did have a daughter Julianna Elizabeth Best (1757-1812) m.
Casper Metzger (1751-1837). I don't have any other info. on Casper.

I connect to both Nicholas and his brother Jacob. To Nicholas through his
grandson.. Jacob Best, (son of Christian Best & Catherine) m. Catherine
LAUBACH.
To Jacob through his grandson Peter & Maria Magdalena Hauer BEST daughter
Catherine who married George BARTHOLOMEW (my 3rd great-grandfather).

Some of the BEST decendants of Nicholas & Jacob moved into Columbia County.
Some other names of large families that connect into the BEST line are
LAUBACH, HESS & DECH. Which is very confusing, I connect to them all on
both my 3rd. great-grandparents sides.

Isn't this Nicholas Best also the one who has a daughter
Julianna that marries Casper Metzgar? I'm a descendent
of Casper's brother John, and have built up quite a bit
of information on both brothers. They both move to
Monroe County and most of John's daughters marry into
another old Williams Tsp. family that moves to Monroe -
Brotzman.
