Hi, Thanks to Susan for forwarding this. I am now a member of PANORTHA-L;
I tried to join before by addressing: PANORTHAMPTON-L, but it bounced back,
of course.

I'm basically a HOLDER, KAESTER/CUSTER, VOLCK, RHOADES/RHODES, GRAEFF,
MECKEL, NUZUM/NUZAM, MECKEL, etc. etc., kind of person.

Thanks to Geri for Volck info. Are we cousins? - Andreas, the elder, is
definitely one of mine. BTW, I found him on a microfilm from church records
taken from Dirmstein area near Worms. I'm descended from his daugh,
'Barbara'. [Major question of the day: Is her first name Maria or Anna?
Anyone with verification, either way, is certainly my hero!]

I've found some Volck and Holder land locations, Lehigh Co. (some bordering
on Berks), but wonder also where Custers were.

FISCHER may be a collateral surname since they left NY at about the same
time as Volck and Holder. They were Volck neighbors, Newburgh area, worked
together (and shared common first names between the families). That farming
land along the Hudson must have been terrible, yet not all the land, various
Holders acquired, in PA must have been that great.. Lots to ponder! Thanks
for any comments or info.. w.
