Does anyone out there in the Northampton County area know anything about
my father's (he was Martin, one of six children) family? His father
was Joseph Hiram Kelly, married to Alice Abby Die (or Dye). She died in
1928 in Easton, where they spent their life; he died before 1921 is all
I know. He was a conductor on the Lehigh Valley R R Black Diamond
passenger train for years, and they were members of Trinity Episcopal
Church with a pew there in their name. The church office has no records
other than the death records. They are buried in the 9th St. Cemetary
in Easton. They were natives of Easton, but his father (Joseph's) came
from Ireland at some point, or possibly his grandfather did. She was
English but nothing else is known by me. I am the granddaughter (now
80) and am trying to get some background for my son to follow up on.
Thanks in advance if anyone has any info. I can be reached also at the
above e-mail address. Ruth Kelly Hixon (in CO)
