Hoffman, Benjamin, born in E. Donegal township, Nov. 2, 1827, son of
Michael ad Magdalena (Musser) Hoffman. She was the d/o Jacob Musser of
E. Donegal, their children;
Anna the wife of John B. Engle of Cumbeland County; Benjamin; Michael
M., of E. Donegal, Mary who married Daniel M. Engle and they lived in
Phila.; Elizabeth who married Peter B. Nissley; Jacob; Henry; John of
Snyder County and he married Martha Engle.

Magdalen (Miusser died in 1840, and Michael Hoffman married 2nd to Nancy
Hershy, and they had 2 children; Susan, the wife of Cyrus L. Engle of
Conoy township and Abraham who married Sarah Shank.

Michael Hoffman was born in Hanover twp., York Co. the son of Michael
and Anna (Long), they moved to E. Donegal, Lancaster County. They had 2
children, Elizabeth and Michael

Benjamin Hoffman, son of Michael, married Dec. 6, 1853 to Elizabeth
Rhodes She is one of the 7 children born to George and Elizabeth
(Sweigart) Rhodes. Her father, George, died in July 1845 aged 54, her
mother born 1802, died 1887. Rhodes children; Abraham S. of Maytown,
died in 1901; Fannie S. the wife of George Lutz; Levi S. of Eden
township; Mary S., the wife of Henry K. Shenk of West Hempfield
township; Susannah S., the wife of Christian L. Brandt of Maytown;

Hoffman); Benjamin F. born Oct 21, 1863, of Conoy; Abraham L. born
1865; Norman R. married Iva Hackenberger; Elizabeth R., bon 1869 married
Chirstoper N. Mumma of Mt. Joy; Clayton R. born 1871, of Elizabethown,
married Mary Gish and they had 4 children; ( Paul, died as an infant,
Mary G., Clayton G., and Elizabeth G)

Hoffman, Michael, of E. Donegal township, was born Oct 4, 1829, the son
of Michael and Magdelana (Musser). He married Dec. 10, 1850 in
Harrisburg, to Anna L. Zeigler, who was born May 22, 1831. Their
children; Helen; "Sabilla";;Horace who died as an infant; Walter;
Ephraim; Jacob who married Maud Pratt and he is a physician in Wichita,
Kansas; Eli, who married Elva Jacobs; William G., who lived in Havana,
Cuba; and Bertha an RN who lived in Phila. Members of the Church of
God, Lancaster.

Fanny Hoffman, was born in E. Dongelal, July 31, 1843, d/o Christian and
Ann (Snyder) Hoffman. Paternal grandparents of Fanny (Hoffman) Engle
were John and Fanny (Engle) Hoffman, maternal grandparents, Henry and
Mary (Witmer) Snyder.

Hoffman, Emma, d/o Benjamin and Elizabeth (Rhodes) Hoffman, married
William B. Detwiler in Conoy township, he was born in Rapho, 1851 the
son of Joseph and Anna Detwiler.
