George Family
The Georges of Lowhill township, and those of Greenwich township, Berks
county were rellatives.

Jost Heinrich George born about 1707 at
Breidscheiidt, near Heborn in Herzothum, Nassau, Germany, was the father
of Johann Heinrich George the ancestor of the Berks County family and of
Heinrich George who lived at Harrisburg.

Yost George and George Georgee were heads of families and property
owners in Lowhill township in 1762. John George was no doubt a single
man in that year and the son of the aboved named,

In 1781, the tax records show, Jost, George, John, Simon, and Lawrence
George as residents of Lowhill township.

John George and his wife Elizabeth lived in Lowhill township. Members of
the Reformed Church in Lowhill, among their children were; Peter born
Oct 29, 1767, Anna Juliana, born Sept. 11, 1771, Eva Margaret born
Nov.22,1774, John born May 4, 1776, Catharine, no date of birth, was
married to Joseph Shoemacher, Elizabeth, born July 30, 1809, was married
Joseph Bachman, she died at aged 85 and two days
