David,
Along with "Shalori" I also recommend Dick Musselman as a
genealogist in the Northampton County area. With the research work he
did at the Marx Room of the Easton Library, plus the clear close-up, and
readable, photographs of the tombstones of different generations, on July
2, 2002, I became a member of the DAR.
My 5g-grandfather is John (Johannes) BOYER. As you might
imagine, with the old German naming tradition of giving sons the first
name of John / Johannes / Johann there were many John BOYER's in the area
at the time and I had to pinpoint my ancestor. With Dick's research work
and the photos (since records at PA vital statistics do not go back to
the 1700's, the DAR uses photos as one of the proofs for lineage) I was
able to fulfill the dream of my grandmother, my mother, and myself.
Dick is very knowledgeable and helpful, I know you will be
satisfied with his work.
