Greetings all!
Just signed on and the instructions indicated that a introduction was in
order on my part :)
I've just begun research in Northumberland County and my first experience
was quite remarkable. I had found a Harmen HELMAN who died there in 1797,
whom we believed was the father of our John. At this point the date and
place for Harmen was pure speculation on our part. I went to the
Northumberland Co.,PAGenWeb page today and saw a number for the courthouse.
I took the plunge and sure enough, there was a will on file for Harmen. The
lady I talked to (Linda) was so nice! She told me there was a will and
other papers and that she would start copying them right away so they could
be sent out as soon as they received my check.
Anyway, I'm now anxious to see what else I might be able to dig up on
Harman and his family in Northumberland County.
That's the story of my arrival to this list :)
