Hi all,

I've just joined this mailing list and am posting to introduce myself. My
father was born in Mt. Carmel PA, though raised in Baltimore MD. So far I've
found ties in Norhtumberland to the surnames McFadden (my own), Nozisko (my
grandmother), McElwee, Berger, Mitchell and Ditchey. Rumor has it my family
was active in the Molly Maguires, and my research (very little) so far
supports the fact that virtually all my ancestors from the area were coal
miners. According to the 1920 Census, my great-grandfather William McFadden
was a mine foreman. Is this inconsistent with being a Molly Maguire?
