Pete,
I checked my Index to Wills of Northumberland County 1772 - 1859
and Jacob MASON is not listed. And just to double check, I also accessed
the same index that
is on-line
in the Northumberland Archives at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/northumberp/will.htm
(just click on Will Index when you get to it) and it is not there.
My thoughts are that either he had no will or that he made one before
Northumberland County
was formed. Does anyone know for sure whether a will would be found in the
original
county? I had always thought so since Northumberland County will begin with
1772.
