John LIVINGSTON/E was in Northumberland Co in 1787 when his son Adam
LIVINGSTON/E was born.

This is my LIVINGSTON/E line, I have been unable to find the parents or
siblings or vitals of John LIVINGSTON. Our family tradition says he is
descended from Philip LIVINGSTON, the "signer" but I've found that isn't
true, however he may be from a collateral line.

John LIVINGSTON married Rebecca MCCLUNG, she was born 1749/50, daughter
of John MCCLUNG and Sarah LAUGHLIN. Their son Adam LIVINGSTON was born
in 1787 in Turbot Twp, Northumberland Co and married Amy SPENCE in Lodi,
Seneca Co, NY. Adam died in 1826 in Lodi.

In a note written by my great-grandmother she says "my great-grandfather
John LIVINGSTONE lived in Westmoreland Co, PA, my great-uncle was born
in 1784 - after which they moved to Hector, Tompkins Co, NY in 1791"
unfortunately, she didn't name the great-uncle. I haven't been able to
find John in Westmoreland Co. Rebecca MCCLUNG and several of her
brothers were in Northumberland Co before John & Rebecca married.

"The History of Schuyler County" NY says John LIVINGSTON was the first
teacher in Peach Orchard [Hector Twp], also a surveyor. The first
wedding in the town was Betsey LIVINGSTON, daughter of John LIVINGSTON
and Stephen PRATT. Is this the same John LIVINGSTON ??

Does anyone have any information on or any connection to these people?

Margaret
