Your Name: Margaret James

The County of your Paternal and Maternal ancestry as far back as you've
been able to trace:

Maternal: Northumberland County
Paternal: Cumberland County

Where you live now: near Los Angeles, California, originally from
Detroit, Michigan

Your email address:

Surnames you are working on:

Livingston in Northumberland Co
Adams in Cumberland Co
Neff and Kling in Lancaster Co
Livingston and Spence in New York

and answer the following questions if you would like:

1) What has been your most greatest success in your research?

This isn't really my greatest success but was certainly the most fun:
after spending several years searching for my husbands father's line of
JAMES in Texas and his mother's line of KILFOYLE in New York and North
Dakota, I found that his parents were not from those places at all, they
actually were from Canada; his father's name was WAFFLE, not JAMES and
they had slipped across the border to Detroit in the 1930's and changed
their name to JAMES, dropping his name of WAFFLE and taking JAMES which
had been his middle name. They had never told their children (my husband
and his sister).

2) What is your greatest frustration?

Trying to find my ADAMS line, ADAMS is my maiden name, I have the line
traced back to 1840 in Cumberland Co PA but am completely stuck there
with William ADAMS and Elizabeth ROUSH and Elizabeth SELLERS and their
son Alexander ADAMS (one of 14 children)
