Hello everyone. I just joined your list tonight. I'm hoping that
someone will be able to help me locate information on my
great-grandparents. They lived in Mt. Carmel and then later moved to
Wieshample. My great-grandfather was Vladek but was called Walter and
my great-grandmother was called Stella. I found the family in the 1920
census under the spelling Carvosky. But, my grandfather went by
Karvoski, and my great-grandmother's death certificate has her last name
as Karwoskie. I have been told that the name was Karwowski. According
to the 1920 census, they immigrated to America about 1903 from Poland.
It says they were aliens. I wasn't able to find them in the 1910
Soundex census. I tried a bunch of different spellings, but who knows
how it was written by the census taker, the 1920 census said that my
great-grandparents couldn't read or write English yet. Also, does anyone
know where St. Ambrose is ? Stella's death certificate says she is
buried there. Also, does anyone know where Locust Moutain is ?
Supposedly, I may have relatives buried there in a Polish Cemetery on
top of the mountain ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Melanie Karvoski
