Please announce the following for the MMPHS:

The next meeting of the Mahanoy & Mahantong Preservation and Historical
Society will be held May 22, 2000 at 7:00 pm in the basement of the
Dalmatia Firehouse. Our speaker will be Mike Snyder. He will be
discussing information that he has collected on several known log homes
in the area. The MMPHS would like to encourage anyone interested in
local history to attend their meetings. MMPHS meetings are held the
4th. Monday of each month.

ALSO:

The next meeting of the Malta Heritage Day will be June 4, 2000 at
6:00pm at the Dalmatia Kiwanis Farm. Plans are progressing for the
August 19, 2000 celebration. The committee is still looking for very
old pictures of any of the homes in Malta.
On sale are 50-50 tickets, Raffle tickets, Stoneware pitchers and
trivets with a picture of the Malta Church imprinted and also Crocks
made by local crafter Mike Hart. For any information regarding these
