Jerry,

I didn't find FOLLMER, FULLMER, or VOLLMAR in "Pennsylvania Births" by
Fisher.

I've seen this surname in my searching of Berks Co. - so looked in a couple
more books - as I have with other look-up requests sounding familiar.
Checked "Pennsylvania German Immigrants" by Don Yoder and found a listing
for probably the first VOLLMAR to PA. That may have been Johannes VOLLMAR,
a farmer from Lomersheim, with wife Catherine and children (1) Johann
Michael b. 1-5-1737 and (2) Margaretha b. 2-1-1743 - arriving on the ship
NANCY Aug. 31, 1750 along with Michael JENSEN of Lomersheim and fellow
passenger "Baron" Henderick Willem STIEGEL. Yoder gives these other similar
surnames:
Another Johannes VOLLMER - arrived in 1770.
John and Jacob FULLMER, Springfield Twp., Bucks Co., Pa 1779.
John FULLMER, saddler, Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co,, PA
in 1788.
Mich'l FULLMER, Brunswick Twp., Berks Co., PA 1781.

Also found a Michael FOLMER on Pine Grove Tax List 1771.

Looked in Bern Church record and found two:
VOLLMER, John Adam - b, (n.r.), bapt. Mar 1, 1760 to parents Michael VOLLMER
& wife. Sponsors: Casper HINKEL & wife.

BOHN, John Adam - b. Dec 2, 1783, bapt. Jan 18, 1784 to parents
John Adam BOHN & wife. Sponsors: Joh. Ad. VOLLMER & wife Mary Rosina.

Could Georg and Michael VOLLMER be the same? Isn't George Michael the first
and middle names given to lots of German boys at that time?

The surname also appears as VOLIMER in the Pennsylvania "colonial Records"
as listed for Adam VOLIMER in Vol. 3, page 518.

Good luck,
Elida in SC
