Shamokin Twp. was formed in 1788 (it was originally called Ralpho). It
included the areas that are today Shamokin Twp and other townships that were
taken from this area.

Cameron 1851-which seperated into East & West in
1897.
Zerbe 1853
Mt. Carmel 1855
Ralpho 1855
