Saw mention recently of Presbyterian MILLERs on the lists. I have hit a
brick wall with my 5th great-grandparents, Andrew and Mary HUNTER MILLER.
They were married 6 Apr 1784 at 2nd Presbyterian in Philadelphia. By about
1815, we believe they were located somewhere in the vicinity of White Deer
and Chillisquaque Twps in Northumberland Co.

I found a son of Andrew and Mary HUNTER MILLER in the church records at
Chillisquaque Presbyterian. He was Samuel MILLER (1791-1865) who married
Catherine AUTEN (1795-1850) who was a daughter of John J. AUTEN and Jane
MORDEN. The baptism of Samuel's and Catherine's son, Daniel Barber MILLER,
appears in church records.

Samuel's sister, my 4th great-grandmother, was Mary MILLER (1792-1855) who
married George BOWER (1787-1851) on 22 Apr 1813 in Northumberland Co.
George BOWER was a son of Moses BOWER and Barbara FRIEDERICH of Amity Twp,
Berks Co. George and Mary eventually settled in Hepburn Twp, Lycoming Co,
and worshipped at Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church at Hepburnville.

I believe I also have identified a brother of Mary HUNTER MILLER. He was
Aaron HUNTER who married a Mary SHANNON (born 25 Oct 1747) on 25 Oct 1771 at
2nd Presbyterian Philadelphia. I think Mary SHANNON was a daughter of
Samuel and Ann SHANNON. Mary MILLER BOWER named one of her daughters Mary
Shannon BOWER after Mary SHANNON, whom I believe was her aunt. I also think
that Aaron and Mary SHANNON HUNTER had a son named Jabez HUNTER. Mary
MILLER BOWER named one of her sons Jabez Hunter BOWER after this Jabez who I
think was her first cousin.

Andrew and Mary HUNTER MILLER also had these other children: Elizabeth
MILLER (1786-1857) who married John ACKLEY (1782-1811) and William MILLER
(1795-?) who married Catherine GREY

Even with all these connections, the HUNTER and MILLER surname is so common
that I've not been able to find this generation - Mary HUNTER, Aaron HUNTER,
Andrew MILLER and Mary SHANNON - and link them with a family. Any help
would be much appreciated.
