Barbara, here are a few given names used in the Carothers/Carrothers
families: William, John, Joseph, Jacob, Robert, Jackson, Harry, Luther, Erb,
David, Elizabeth, Alice, Mae, Bertha, Anne, Maria, Hazel, Helen, Marion,
Grace, Irene, Edna, Vera, Margaret, etc. They lived in the Clearfield,
Centre, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon and other Pa. Counties; & were married
into many different families; Palmer, Bell, Hoffman, Scott, Kephart, Clark,
Shannon, Sweetwood, Geist, Noffshger, Kennelly, Mincer, Nevling, Brown,
Warrender etc. William worked in Tyrone as head over 70 men in one of the
