My Samuel YOUNG stated in his Rev War pennion app that he was "drafted" into
service under a Capt Samuel Young in Major John Lee's Battalion and a Col.
Dougherty in May of 1778 at Sansbury.
I would assume that Sansbury should be Sunbury. I have f ound a muster
roll that lists Samuel in the same unit as Captain Samuel Young and Major
Lee. I cannot find a Col Dougherty for this time period.
Since my Samuel was only 16 years old at the time I would assume that he was
related to Capt Samuel.
Would anyone have a clue as to where I could look to find some clues as to
the relationship between these two or better yet the parents of my private
Samuel Young.
Thanks
J. Ray Young
