Looking for connections between McCormicks in Ky. and in Pa. in 1700's. I have three possibly connected families in Ky. with links back to Pa.:
1) Hugh McCormick who died Sept/Oct 1799 in Scott Co., Ky. with his will showing wife as Katherine and children as : Elizabeth, Mary, George and William. There is reference in his will for money due in Pa. from Elias Harning. Could this be the same Hugh McCormick b. 1735 in Pa. or Ireland, md. to Catherine Sanderson and died Sept. 1799? Per LDS info this Hugh was son on Thomas McCormick b. 1702 in Antrim, Ireland and md. to Elizabeth Carruth.
2) Hugh McCormick b. 1753 in Pa., md. Rebecca Xxxx in Westmoreland Co., Pa., served in Rev. War (enlisted 1776 in Northumberland Co., Pa.--discharged 1783 Phila.), died 1822 Owen Co., Ky. Only known children are: Francis b. 1792 and Mary Ann b. 1805.
3) John McCormick b. 1788 Pa., md. Mary Xxxxx, oldest son Wm. b. 1814 in Ky., d. 1868 in Bracken Co., Ky.

This John McCormick could very well be son of one of these Hugh's---the timing is right. Does anyone know anything about Hugh McCormick and Catherine Sanderson i.e. did they go to Ky.?, names of their children, etc. How about the Hugh that served in Rev. War....anything on his ancestry?

Any insights into these families would be appreciated.
