I had a 3rd cousin call me today .
She says that our family were never Carlls with two LL's she got all her research from death certificated and writing to church's for cemetery records.
She has not gotten back any futher than the name John Carl and no date for him and I do not think she has his death certificate.
But she calls me today and tell me this several times that I am wrong to add LL's to the Carl name.
I have so far been doing most my research from census records and what other pass on to me.
The only 1880 census record of John and Hannah Carll has two LL and they are in the right county.
My 3rd cousin said they are a complete different family.
I tried to explain to her how other research in my family has names that change .
Like Schultz to Shultz.
But she won't hear of us being Carlls in 1880 and Carl in 1900's.
These are the names she sent me for the family and then their is the census report 1880 below can you please give me your advise also below census report names for same family another researcher send me.
