Dear Listers

Welcome to all the recent subscribers to the Paper-mills-makers list.

The list was only set up five days ago and suddenly has had a welcome influx
of new members, so welcome to all of you. I see one or two names are on
both this list and the Canal People list; you really are gluttons for
punishment!!!<vbg>

I have long researched my own connection to the paper making trade. Infact,
I stumbled across my own line of paper makers in Bramshott Hampshire, name
after name listing their occupation as Paper maker. It was through the net,
about six months ago I located another researcher also researching ELSTONE
from Headley and Bramshott Hants, this was the first in 13 years!.

It seems that the ELSTONE's inherited the Bramshott Paper Mill from the PIM
family, or at least a branch of it, but most intrestingly branches of the
Elstone and Pim families emigrated to Canada. The Pim's on my line are
more than likely connected to Terry's (also on this list) line of Pim's,
and we need to really verify this.

So perhaps the new members would like to let us know what Mills they are
researching.

All for now and if there any problems, suggestions, or whatever please
contact me. This is OUR list so lets get the ball rolling.

Regards
Julie Goucher
