On a visit to the St Louis County Library I ran across a book entitled
"Perry County - A Pictorial History 1981." In this book was a full page
picture with the caption "Tentatively identified as Liddick's Lock & Store,
above New Buffalo, in 1890." Is anyone out there familiar with this area
or have any knowledge or history of this Liddick Lock and Store? I am a
Henry Liddick descendent and was curious as to which Liddick (and there were
many) owned this lock and store.
