I would appreciate any info from others who may have research on Walt Family in Perry County 1800-1900 that relates to any of following persons. I would like to nail down proof of parents of Peter E. Walt, ?father - Henry Walt. And discover other ancestors and origins of Henry Walt (1817-1853), of Liverpool, Perry Co., PA. US Census 1850 Liverpool Boro shows Henry, age 33, boatbuilder, wife Catherine age 30, daughters Minerva & Amanda and an 1 month old infant son (name is illegible).
Perry Co. PA Court House Death Records 1852-1855 cites: Henry WALT, white, male, 36 yrs. Father: Solomon Walt.
Mother: Catharine. Occupation: Carpenter. Born: Montgomery Co. PA. Frederick Twp. Wife: Catharine. Living Issue: No of children, 6 girls, 4 boys, 2 girls and 3 boys living, William F, James. &. Died: 9 Apr 1853, congestion of liver, Liverpool Borough, Perry Co. PA. Buried: Liverpool Borough. Person returning certificate: I.H. Oats? M.D. Date of certificate: 18 Apr 1853.
Perry County Orphans Court Book E Pg. 498 cites Henry Walt late of Liverpool Boro, appointment of wife Catherine Walt, Aug 6, 1853, guardian of minor children Minerva Jane, William H., Johnston and Margaret Ellen Walt. Later census of 1860 Perry Co., Liverpool shows just Catherine Walt w/ children Minerva age 14, Wm. H. age 10, Margaret age 8 and Peter age 5.
May have been WALT Family members from Sayre Boro, Bradford Co. PA.
