The only Nipple mentioned for Greenwood twp is a Frederick Nipple who was assessed on 100 acres in the 1820 Greenwood Twp Assessment. He is also in the 1850 Greenwood twp Census, aged 68 (b. 1782?) with wife Mary, also aged 68 and daughter Mary, aged 32. What must be a son, Henry Nipple (age 39) and wife Mary and their son Henry are just a couple of doors away from Frederick & Mary. Before Perry County came into being which was in 1820, Frederick Nipple appears to have been in Juniata Twp in Cumberland County, then Juniata Twp in Perry, and finally Greenwood Twp in Perry.
There is a mention in Snyder County of 2 doctors, Dr. J.O. Nipple and Dr. H.M. Nipple, both of whom were born in Millerstown in Perry County.
Hope this helps
