Just as an update, I spoke to Mt. Moriah this morning. They, Carol and
another woman, were very nice and repeated that in order to determine if
someone was buried there, they need to check very old and very heavy books in
which filing is done 1st by year, then by surname. Therefore, one couldn't
simply call and ask if anyone named Tapper was buried there. You'd need a
year of death--minimally. They would check the book for that year, then look
through the listings for the 1st letter of the surname to try to find the
surname. There are no lot plans, so one cannot simply call up and find out
who is buried together. After giving the exact date of a burial, I was told
to call back in two weeks to see if they had any info for me.
This is the exact same response that I have been getting for the last two
years. While I have gotten info over the phone, I have never been sent
anything, even when I offered to pay for it.
No offense, but I am wondering if those who said they got stuff sent to them
are by some chances confusing Mt. M with another cemetery. If not, I wonder
if they'd be so kind as to make a few calls for me............<g>.

P.S. Eric--
I've forgotten your screen name. Please e-mail me off the list. Thanks.
