Thanks for all the very helpful replies. The bride was underage (17 or 18)
and the groom was 19 or 21 depending on which census you go by, so maybe
I'll luck out with a parental consent form. I ordered the LDS film of the
marriage licenses today (I have the license #). Hopefully the consent forms
were filmed with the marriage licenses - does anybody know if that is the case?

Somebody asked if parents appeared on marriages "where I live" - most of my
research is in Virginia and West Virginia, and yes, after mid 1853, the
parents of both the bride and groom are listed in the marriage register,
along with ages & birthplaces for the bride & groom.
