Merle,
Oh, boy! this is so close and yet so far! So many similarities. Here
is what I have:

Christopher Keyser b 10 Oct 1768 marr Catharine Donat abt 1791 and had the
following children:
*Joseph Keyser b. 29 Jul 1792, d 14 May 1850, marr Sarah Michener abt 1818
* Ann Keyser b. 12 May 1795, marr Joseph Lauer
* William Keyser b. 21 May 1797, d 24 Sep 1857, marr Ann Williams
* Christopher Keyser, b 03 Sep 1799
(of these my ancestor was Joseph)
Joseph Keyser and Sarah Michener had the following children:
* Rachel Keyser, b abt 1820, d 05 Dec 1857, marr Henry Hynames
* William Keyser, b 11 Jul 1822, d 30 Jun 1898 marr 1st Rachel Fetter,
2nd Margery Smith
* James Keyser, b abt 1824
* Charles Keyser, b abt 1826
* George Keyser, b abt 1828
* Thomas Keyser, b abt 1830, marr Kate Hazlet on 25 Oct 1855
* Isaac Keyser, b abt 1831
* Kitty Keyser b abt 1835
of these William is my ancestor
William Keyser and Rachel Fetter had the following children:
* John R Keyser, b 1845, d 24 Aug 1877, marr Sarah Ellen Tomlinson
* Augustus Keyser, b & d abt 1847
* Franklin Keyser, b 1848. d Nov 1869
* James T Keyser, b 1852, d May 1940, marr Anna Vandergrift
* Thomas Keyser, b 1854, d abt 1940, marr Emma Thompson
* William Keyser, b 1856, d Nov 1901 marr a Carpenter
* Rachel F Keyser, b 28 Nov 1857, d 28 May 1945, marr Theodore Dudbridge
Price
Of these John R. was my ancestor.

You probably don't need subsequent generations but if you need to go back
further I have more on them. I also have some additional info on spouses,
etc.
I have pretty good sources for a lot of this but in genealogy there are
always those elusive question marks. If you think we might have a connection
and need more let me know.

I am researching the Newcamp family in Philadelphia. A Newcamp person is
found on some censuses with an aunt, Sarah Keyser, who fits the description
of a
Sarah Newcamp who married a William Keyser early in the 19th century. The
problem is that Sarah seems to be on both the Phila and Bucks Co censuses
several
times. What I think happened is that her husband, William, who died about
1845, was from Bucks Co. During the 1840's their son, also William, moved
back to
Bucks Co with his wife Rachel, or married her there, and had quite a few
children. Then Rachel died and Sarah and her daughter, also Rachel, moved in
and
took care of the children. Unfortunately, Sarah, Rachel and William all died
before 1906, which in Phila means there are only death registrations, not
death
certificates. Therefore, I can't find Sarah's maiden name, or the maiden name
of Rachel and William's mother and what I'm really trying to determine is
whether Sarah is actually Sarah Newcamp, as well as where all of these people
are
buried. I found the death of a Sarah Keyser in Phila in the 1888 Phila death
index, but, as luck would have it (Murphy's Law), I can only check the
registration in Phila because the FHL does not have that film. I did not,
however,
find Rachel or William. Rachel, however, did not go back and forth as her
mother
did but the mother had a business in Phila while Rachel stayed in Bucks Co to
care for her brother's family.

I went onto a Bucks Co site that lists births, marriages and deaths and now
know that there were other Keysers in Bucks Co, probably the family of
William.
I noted your Joseph and Sarah there, but unfortunately, that's not my Sarah.

Here's who I have:
William Keyser died about 1845
Sarah Newcamp Keyser born about 1797 in Phila, died 1880-1900
Rachel Keyser (their daughter) born 1860-1820, died 1880-1900
William Keyser (their son) born 1821-23, died 1880-1900
Rachel Keyser (William Jr's wife) died 12/1857
Their children were John, Benjamin Franklin, Joseph, James, Thomas, William
and Rachel,
all born between 1845 an 1858.

Does this connect to you? Many thanks.
Merle
