Hi!

We may have spoken before. I descend from SARAH ANN BECROFT. I've seen the
spelling both ways.

SRARH ANN BECROFT was born about 1809 in France (probably Alsace/Lorraine -
the name sounds like it has German influence).
She immigrated to Philadelphia, PA sometime before 1844. She married James H.
Newton Cox in January of 1844 in Philadelphia. She died in Newton Township,
Camden County, NJ in 1859.
I do not know anything more about her.
There was an Alexander Becroft in Philadelphia in middle 1800's. His age
would make him a younger brother to Sarah Ann if they are related.
Ther is also a Moses Becroft in Philadelphia arounds the same time.
