Happy New Year One and All.....
My gg grandparent's, Henry and Sophie Wienand, belonged to St. Peter the Apostle Church located at 1019 N. 5th Street. Henry died on 2 Feb 1890 and Sophie died before 1905. A couple of years ago I wrote the church about burial records. We traded a couple of letters and I sent them a check for more than the amount they requested for the search, and I never heard from them again. This past weekend I emailed a site on Catholic Cemeteries in Philly, and I just rec'd a response. They don't have any records for parish cemeteries. According to their email, Holy Redeemer Cemetery, would be the burial site for those attending St. Peter's.
Is anyone familiar with Holy Redeemer Cemetery? And is it worth calling them?
