I am not reffering to Navy rendezvous reports. I am referring to civilian
port records generated at the port of Phila. for civilian crews and ships in
17xx and 18xx. Indexed by WPA by name, date, ship etc. Index at HSP on open
reference in typed bound books.
.Check out the crew/ship lists for the port of Phila. at NARA and HSP for
more info. It will give the birthdate and other info. See the records
descriptions listed in the online catalogs at NARA and HSP for details.
These records will be featured in a History Detectives TV show on Aug 21
about a black Phila. seaman around 1820 who served in the Carribean Phila. trade
runs.
