John Parrish was Vestryman of Cumberland Parish from 1757 to 1762.
He was, it seems, a son of Charles Parrish whose will, dated Feb. 20, 1764,
was probated in Lunenburg County, Virginia, October 11, 1764.
No mention of a wife is made in the will but it does mention the following
sons and daughters: Charles Parrish, David Parrish, Robert Parrish, Jowell
(Joel?) Parrish, Hannah Parrish, Millippie Parrish, Mary Parrish Patillo,
Lucy Parrish, John Parrish
p. 268. The Lunenburg County records also contain the will of Peters
Parrish, dated September 10, 1777, and probated November 11, 1779."
