Researching my maternal line and would love to make UK connections with
descendants of Henry Parry b. ca. 1812 in Nefyn, Caenarfonshire, d. 1889,
Llandeinliolen parrish. Henry was a quarry shoemaker in Llanberis. He
married (ca. 1838) Anne Hughes b. ca. 1814, Llandeinliolen parrish, d.1889
in same.
Eight children born with seven surviving:

Hugh H. b. 1839 d. after 1891, Caenarfonshire
Robert Henry b. 1842, d. 1925 Vermont, USA
John Hughes (my g-grandfather) b. Sept 9, 1844
William b. 1846, d. ? possibly in Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA
Morris b. Sept 3, 1849, d. ? Denver CO, USA-No issue
Jane b. 1852, d. Nov. 1902 Liverpool, Eng.
Henry b. 1854, d. ? probably Liverpool-believed to have no issue

John Hughes was a minister, serving in Welshpoole, Montgomeryshire, Crewe
and Oswestry Eng. He married Margaret Hill b. Dec. 5, 1859, probably in
Oswestry where their first child Anna Gwladys Parry was born 1887
He then(1888) became pastor of the Armenia Chapel in Holyhead, Anglesey
where my grandfather, John Henry Hughes Parry, was born Sept 13, 1889.

The family emigrated to Utica, NY, USA ca. 1894 where John Hughes was pastor
of the Moriah Welsh church until his death in 1899. A third child Mary Olwen
was born 1893, either in Holyhead or NYC, NY, USA.

Jane married (prior to 1878) Thomas Hughes of Aberffraw, Anglesey and
relocated to Liverpool. Five sons born; William P. ca. 1879, Owen, Thomas,
Ifan (Ifor?) H. Trevor. Trevor emigrated to Utica, NY,.USA where he died in
1954.

My grandfather, John Henry Hughes Parry, a retired college professor of
English, was ordained in the Episcopal priesthood in 1956. He died in
Rochester, NY,USA in 1982., leaving three daughters.

His sister Gwadys married David Morgan Richards b. June 26, 1869, son of
William Richards of Caenarfonshire. They had one son, Henry Morgan, b. Oct
10, 1920 in NYC, NY, d. July 5, 1976 in Utica, NY. D.M. Richards died in
Utica, NY on Feb 26, 1943. Gwladys d. Aug 8, 1981, Utica, NY.

John's sister Olwen never married, d. Utica, NY June 10, 1985.

I have recently made contact via internet with Robert Henry Parry's g-g
grandson and we are in the process of exchanging info. Any lister in UK or
US having knowledge of this family, please contact me. We may have much to
share. Thanks in advance.
