Subject: [PARRY] Welsh strays in London 1891 census
Date: Wed, 28 Nov 2001 22:46:37 -0000
Another PARRY researcher (who isn't on this list) has asked me to forward
these 'strays' she found in the 1891 census for London:
1891 Census
RG12 Piece 92, Enumeration District 4b, Administrative County of London,
Civil Parish of Marylebone, Municipal Ward of Cavendish Sq
Parliamentary Borough or Division of Marylebone East, Ecclesiastical Parish
or District of St Thomas Portman Square
folio 104 reverse, schedule 2
2-24 Marylebone Lane
Thomas S PARRY - S age 26 occ Draper's Assistant [employed] pob
Denbeigh Ruston(?)
folio 106 front, schedule 5
2-24 Marylebone Lane
John D PARRY - S age 24 occ Draper's Assistant [employed] pob
Carnarvon Llandefair(?)
The whole 'household' covers a page and a half. Presumably, numbers 2-24
Marylebone Lane was a big shop of some kind with accommodation above for the
employees. It is split into 5 households and which cover just over 6 pages.
All occupants are Draper's Assistants and the majority are male.
folio 109 reverse, schedule 9
12 - 20 Henrietta St
Llewelyn PARRY - S age 33 occ Draper's Traveller [employed] pob
Denbeigh Ruston(?)
Again the whole 'household' covers almost two pages. Presumably, numbers
12-20 Henrietta St was a big shop of some kind with accommodation above for
the employees. It is split into 4 households and which cover nearly 7
pages. All occupants are Draper's Assistants or related occupations and the
majority are male.
Hope that helps someone.
