Searching for information about Elizabeth Bernheisel, who was married to John Bucher, buried as John Beecher as the family later adopted that name. They had a child christened at St. Paul's (Summer Hill) Church in South Manheim Township, now Schuylkill County then Berks County:

Johannes Bucher, born 15 Aug 1819, baptized 13 Oct 1819, son of Johan Bucher and Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was born ? and died ? and was the daughter of ?

There were several Bernheisel / Bernheiser / Berkheiser families in that church 1805-1820, including George and Magdalena, Peter and Catharina, Jacob and Margaretha, etc.

John Bucher /Beecher the father was buried at Epler's Church in Bern Township, Berks County, and his tombstone reads: "In memory of John Beecher son of John Beecher, born January 27 1789, married to Elizabeth Bernheisel, died March 17, 1865, aged 76 years 2 months 17 days." His father, Johannes Bucher, was buried as John Beecher at Epler's Church in 1818.

I have lots of info on the Bucher / Beecher family but searching for more, and know little about this Bernheisel.
